Hello!!!

I'm in a dilema! I need to get a printer so that I can print photos at events (on-site) and basically I'm stuck.

At the moment I am thinking either and Olympus P-400 P Dye Sublimation Colour Printer, or a Epson Stylus Photo R2400. Basically I'm weighing up pro's and cons.

The Dye-sub obviously dries a lot quicker, which is a HUGE plus, but is apparently prone to dust.

The Epson is apparently lab-quality int he images it produces, but can take 6 minutes + for a print and dry.

Does anyone have either of these? If you do, what do you use it for/think/recommend etc... And if not, I have around £400 to spend, any tips??? :thankyou:

Oh, another thing to add it the size of the prints being so different.... I would ideally like to go A4 or higher. 8x6 being the smallest I would print.

I can vouch for the quality of the R2400 - you will have no issues selling prints from this printer.

The prints from the R2400 are instant dry when printed on pigment ink compatible paper. It may however take 6 minutes to make a print!

Print time for an 8x10 is about 2 minutes or so. I would guess at about 5 minutes for a full bleed A3+

The print time is not an issue for me, but I am not event printing. What is important for me is the K3 inksets archival qualities.
