Seems a good deal. Considering them but wondering if they will be too big for a general purpose pair if binoculars (birds and stars).

Depends on you - I had a small pair of Minolta 10x25 (I think, it's a long time since I saw them) nocs - they're so light that I struggle to hold them steady. OH loves them. I have a pair similar to these Olympus ones and find them easier to hold steady and have a tripod mount that the Minolta pair lacks.

They are obviously heavier and larger - but gather loads more light - that said, I'd hesitate to say "go for it" because nocs are something I've always bought "in person" without having a good look at them and through them.

If you want a 10x50 it looks decent , like other budget Olympus models I've seen. Amazon does drop it to this sort of price every few months:
