Olympic opening ceremony

OK, I defy anyone not to be moved by the Abide with me bit.

It's been on but I've not taken too much notice.... but this has grabbed my attention.

deplore the cost and the security thing
But I think the effects and the show is brilliant Probably wont watch the olympics and hate the olympic hysteria from the media
This isnt the crap I thought it was going to be unless it deterioates from now to the end

Indeed. Sometimes it shows how boring, argumentative and miserable this forums members can be. And if there was another forum that offered as much info then I'd probably switch.

Well I'm loving it so far and can't wait for the sports to get underway! Feeling a very proud and inspired Brit tonight.

Doesn't surprise me, it's easier to be negative. What puzzles me is why people in this thread are determined to moan and bitch when they have their own thread to do it in. Shows they just want attention I guess.

Personally I think that it's bloody brilliant. I love the Olympics, but normally hate the opening flummery.

Remember that the modern Games is more British than French.

Much Wenlock, William Brookes etc etc

I know but some people just seem to be going out of their way to bitch about it. And it's a growing trend on this place at the moment.
