Olympic opening ceremony

Its quite fun, at least it isn't that 'show of might, power and whippin em into formation' we saw at Beijing :p

Yeah, spot on. It's a damn good celebration of what we've got to be proud of.

typical over the top british dramatics. Now theres gonna be nothing for the royal variety later on.

Gotta love the queens "Yes clap me Biatches" face like a boss

Some people have no sense of fun!

True, what is it costing again?

As for our Joe, it is VERY slightly better than any brother analogue!

Reckon anyone outside the UK will have any idea what's happening?

Yes, and loving every bit of it

OMG we are the laughing stock of the world :shake:

Not by a long shot ... and frankly we sit here in 42C enjoying it.

There was the one statement by the commentator that's caught my thought, something along the lines ... "you're not a civilised nation unless you can provide equal healthcare even to those without means" ... loved it, made us (my family and I) discuss how apt that is, and got us thinking about countries like USA :shake:

Just looking for my mate. He's in the chin of the acid face!

They need to show more stadium shots, those pixel images are cool.

I for one think its better than the eurovision song contest

Well there is always the official olympics grumpy thread if you don't like this one :p

Me, been very anti-olympics until this week, when Paul Sinha said 'look, we are paying for it, might as well make the most of it and enjoy it' - so you know what, he's right and I will! :woot:

Without the commentator, would you have got it?

I think that some of the 3d Work has been very impressive. We have enjoyed it so far but could imagine it looses something in 2d.

Rowan Atkinson............................what a great idea.

Naw, gonna get right up any Olympic supporters here.....

.......in fact most folk are negative on this thread!

For the record I'm not a big fan of the Olympics but this opening ceremony is pretty fun.

It is fun but I am far more of a fan of Olympic competition than the froth that'll be forgotten by next week

Glad you're enjoying it,Neil.....

...doubt if there are many so easily pleased!

Urm .. yes, but that's probably because I've spent over 30 years in UK

Aye, well we know where the rest of the world is in the comprehension stakes!

I dont care!! :woot:

Also, will be off in a bit, might grab my own bit of the celebrations... maybe [crossing everything] ;)
