Where would the best place be to send off my mum and dads (sadly both departed ) old wedding album to get the photo's copied and restored. The photo's are mounted on to cardboard, so would have to send off the whole album. Have tried myself but generally unhappy with the results.

Thanks Ray I will give them a ring.

I think it also depends on what you want as the final result - I did one last year, scanned the images, restored & corrected the effects of age, then created a modern digital version of the album that also included some of the guests photographs [this was a wedding from 30 yrs ago] all with the correct permissions of course. Pretty sure the guys Ray has linked to can do a similar thing, with either a modern of traditional style album if you want one.

If on the otherhand it is just the pictures themselves that are important, restoring them and reprinting, then there are people round here that can do that, I have done a little, CT is the forum 'master', but bear in mind that the album may have to be taken apart to do the scanning, depending on its original construct.

Whatever you do, hope you find the right thing, old photographs seem to get more and more important the older we get :)

Thanks Yvonne, I know what you mean about the older we get the more things take on far more sentimental value. Mum and Dad got married in 1961 so these are quite old photographs, but in the main are in really good condition with a few are starting to get discoloured in the corners. The spline of the album comes apart easily, making taking the pages out relatively easy. The problem I had was the pages are too big for my basic scanner and the photo's are stuck to the pages.
The original album will always be mum and dad's album which I was lucky enough to be given. I only wanted to get the photo's restored and reprinted to allow my 4 sisters each to have a copy and to ensure if anything should happen to the original album, that the photo's would not be lost forever.

That's the reason I asked on the forum rather than chancing to luck, these photo's are important to my family and would rather get someone recommended by fellow forum members.
