F F M.1976, I was 8yrs old and still remember we used play at being charlies angels in the playground at school, roping in some poor unwilling sop of a lad to be Charlie![]()
Unfortunately I can remember when TV was only in black and white and Sunday Night at the London Palladium was about as good as it got.

Yeah, just "ok"

Blake's 7 but if I where to watch it now I would probably double over with laughter.
It's a memory thing, I went around Ingleton Falls in Yorkshire the other day ,and do you know what .........last time I did it 12 years ago it was much more photogenic.................onest!!!
Also, they have made the paths much steeper.:nono:

Bill & Ben who used to phlob-a-lot
and kept making reference to the "weed"
Andy Pandy of course who use to get in the toy box with loopy Lou
Twizzle WTF was that all about ?

I thought that "Muffin the mule" was a sexual offence.
Some not bad comedians in B&W days - Arthur Haynes.
Western - Wagon Train
Rawhide - Clint Eastwood in B&W
How could I forget "Bonanza"![]()

We lived in flats growing up, and only one family in the block had a TV with BBC2. The entire block used to congregate in their sitting room on a Monday evening to watch "The High Chapparal" - quality stuff.Unfortunately I can remember when TV was only in black and white and Sunday Night at the London Palladium was about as good as it got.
and the test card
best thing on IMO![]()

I remember watching that for hours
And the little white dot in the centre of the scree after the TV was switched off.
And conversely waiting for the bloody thing to warm up once switched

Yes, and old B&W TV's did not stay tuned in. Pic would change to a series of "saw tooth" lines and you had to go to the set to tune the channel in.
Then the damned pic would rapidly roll over so you had to tinker with the Line Hold control to steady it.
Must be loads of folk on this forum who know nothing of this.
Whew, some other oldies here, thank goodness!
How about the Black and White Minstrels and the Billy Cotton Band Show?
On the kid's front, Torchy the battery boy and Tales of the Riverbank.
:shake:
Ah the good old days!![]()
