Old SIM in new Phone?

I wonder if anyone can help with something that is probably not a problem at all!

I've just bought an HTC Sensation XE on contract for my daughter's birthday tomorrow and it has been supplied with an O2 SIM. On the assumption that the phone is unlocked (which I think it is) can she stick her current SIM (Tesco mobile) in the new phone?

We would then give her old phone with the new O2 SIM to daughter #2.

I suppose the question boils down to: is the new O2 SIM "expecting" to be used in the new phone it was supplied with or is it irrelevant?

It's irrelevent as long as the phones unlocked. I use my Orange, Tmobile or voda simms in my iphone and they all work.

A lot depends on where you bought the phone but if all the simms are on O2 you shouldnt have any problems.
