Went to the local market today to see if I could find any cameras, nothing of interest but I did find two boxes of old negatives. One set seems to be a couples european holdiay in the 60/70s while the other seems to be a mix ranging from the second world war up to the 60's.

there are a couple of undeveloped rolls of film in there too. as well as glass plates. Dont think ill find the British version of Vivian Meyer but should be fun scanning through them all!

Oooh, interesting. Looking forward to seeing what comes out.

Already started scanning, ive created a special flickr account for them.

Link!

Fabulous, just fabulous....memories are evoked....love the Prestige Kitchen Set..obviously from the wedding album.

Thats fantastic, what a find. I wonder if Walker Bros of Folkestone are still around, doubt it. And how many people went to Moscow on holiday in the 60/70's? very few I would imagine.
Just checked and Walker Construction are still going, might be worth having a word with them to see if they would like some of the images.

All rather interesting, looks like whoever took these was rather keen, he or she has written down the developer/development times etc.

Aye, I've just looked at their site too, definitely the same crowd.

Some fantastic photos you've got there, certainly shows some character in them

Love old stuff like this, obviously they are not just snaps but the photographer must have had some decent gear as they are really sharp and clear for the age of them.

I tried scanning some old slides from my mam but the quality was pants.

OK, time to release your inner geeks, what camera is he using?

Could be the swinging 60s.....best decade, all downhill from then.

I just love these! I buy collections of old slides and also have a dedicated Flickr account for them, I find it absolutely fascinating going through them and seeing what's in there. There's also something nice about the fact someone's memories are still alive, even though they may now not be. :)

I love threads like these...can't go to flickr now as big brother watches over our work servers...

Will check it out later!
