Hi,

ok, so, I have taken on board the advice offered, done some research and looked at my finances.

Getting a good quality flash gun is important to me so I have decided to go with Nikon and just bite the bullet on the cost.

Now the question is, SB700 or SB910?

The thing putting me off the SB700 is the power, is it really enough? I do eventually plan to use the flash gun with diffusion panel or soft box so wonder if the SB700 has the punch needed. But of course its cheaper, smaller, and lighter.

I am looking at this as a longer term purchase, so part of me wonders should i just go all out on the SB910?

Does it have to be new - if not what about an SB800?

i would rather go for new to be honest

Fair doos. I havn't looked at the spec of the two but I have the SB600 and have only once thought I could do with a bit more light. I guess the question has got to be what do you want it for:shrug:

I use an SB700 both bare and diffused through a variety of soft boxes and TBH, I'm not left wanting in the power stakes. Reliable flashgun :)
