Yes
Well, after much humming and hawing, i bought a shiny new Canon EOS 400D tonight.

I also got photoshop CS3, so here's looking forward to the learning curve!

I'll work my way through the instruction manual and then i'll need to find something to take a photo of!

To all those who helped me make my mind up, thank-you.

Kerso, sorry i didn't buy from you mate, But no doubt you will get some of my business for lenses and other bits n bobs.

Let us know how it is, its on my list of possibles :)

congrats on the new toys :)

I got one off the wife for christmas and its an absolute cracking camera.

It is a very good starter camera, no too daunting to get used to!

Good luck! So how much do you want for the CS3? :D

welcome and enjoy

Thanks for the warm welcomes.

I had a play last night, and it's not as easy as one would think, is it :wack:

So i'm plodding through the manual, and taking photos of anything that stands still long enough.

So far i've taken photos of a printer, my mouse, a guitar, a picture on the wall and the ceiling light. So sad.

Anyway, i'll get there, patience is a virtue and all that!

Depends on whether the mouse was furry or of the computer type!!:D

Sadly, it was the computer type. But it was a new mouse bought only an hour before hand. It was of the wireless variety and thought i'd take a photo of it before I lost it.

Cunning plan:thumbs:
keep taking loads of photo's, mess about with the different modes and most importantly enjoy it. It will make some sense eventually, Honest:thinking:

Congrats on the choice of Canon and can't wait to see your shots. Enjoy your new camera ;)
