well, what can I say, I really am a complete <insert your own expletive> !!!
Last weekend I listed a number of items on Ebay, including 2 signed posters.
As both posters had bids, I decided I'd package them up today in preparation for the auction finishing around lunch time, if payment was prompt I'd post them sometime before the post office closing at 4. please consider one poster is A3 the other being A4.
So, I packaged the A3 poster into a fresh, new postal tube and noted in pencil SBTCC (was a Seat British Touring Car poster) and then got the other poster. Decided the Postal tube was way too large so I'd cut it down to a little over half the length, I picked up the new postal tube, marked where I wanted to cut and sawed straight through the tube, picking up the waste piece I suddenly noticed a bit of Seat touring car!
Yes I'd picked up the tube with the poster in and not the empty one :bonk:
So, having contacted the seller to advise of the problem (poster straight in two!) and that I'd cancel the auction, I discover that Ebay won't allow me to cancel the order as there is a bid and less than 12 hours left. :bang:
So there's my balls up for the weekend, hopefully the bidder will be understanding, it was only £2.50 after all.
