Another post that adds more heat than light to the subject for discussion. If you bothered to read my post carefully you would have seen i said "usually about 60%". You have assumed that applied to their offer for my 7D. Dangerous things assumptions.
I was going to ignore ***'s post about their offer to me but for the record the enquiry to them about an offer for my 7D was not made in my name or anything like my name. Makes me wonder how they could possibly identify my enquiry and how much they offered me.
I am getting tired of the number of keyboard warriors on this forum who want to criticise other people's points of view and those who are personal and offensive in their posts. I have much better things i can do with my time so this is my last post on this or any other subject.
If anyone feels motivated to reply to this go ahead but please note I will not read it.

Just as a slight aside to this, only yesterday i got accused by Mods on a Rugby forum of having a duplicate account saying another user is logging in from the same computer, its rubbish, ive posted on that forum for 15 years with my real name so how can they make this WRONG assumption

I post on there as i do on here from

a: using a "three dongle" so as to limit my time posting using the works network/internet and when im out and about on my laptop
b: using the works internet/network (see above)
c: from my home using sky broadband

So how is it possible they think i have a duplicate account

I used to Mod on that same forum about 10 years ago and went round in circles trying to find duplicate accounts but there were hundreds of totally unconnected users who seemed to login using the exact same IP address, im aware of static and dynamic ip addresses.

because they don't realise that the three dongle uses dynamically assigned IP's... not every mod/admin is savvy to these things...

as an aside, I know of a certain Admin a while ago who once IP blocked a repeat-offender from their forum. Not realising that the IP was one of AOL's dynamically assigned ones - and instantly cut the membership by around 1/3 until the block was removed.

I had that same experience once and actually banned myself from the forum

I remember that - I'm fairly sure it was me who was being asked if i work for a certain camera dealer ( i don't although I recommend them so much Chris did suggest the initals stood for Moose's Private Business).

I did wonder at the time why she was intent of slating them so much especially when she was patently talking out of her arse - i guess now we know
