Oh no!!!

Come on Andora:banana:

Not happy :'( :(

Laughable...

The last 15 mins of this, I didnt think England had legs, only heads...bring the fricking ball down!

Is José Mourinho available:)

No England, Scotland, Wales or N. Ireland in Euro 2008! Blimey the tv channels over here will struggle to generate any interest in the tournament!

OUT.

of the euro's and hopefully mclaren too.

Such an important game and he has hargreaves and beckam on the bench? Tactically, he hasn't got a clue. Oh well, there's always the world cup (hopefully coached by someone that knows what they're doing). :(

I know sod all about football but even I knew that leaving Beckham out of the starting side was a mistake!

Sorry, but Lineker's face :D

I've got to say I feel for you, but it's not the manager, it's your players. They're not as good as the media likes to portray them and they didn't have the spirit tonight. You need to stop importing as much foriegn crap into your Premiership and concentrate on developing your home grown players.

Oh yes :shrug::shrug:I'm afraid;)

Did I recently hear someone on the box say the Gunners only had 1 English player in their team or worse still was it in the whole squad.

You could be right Galaxy. The top teams in the Premiership are predominantly foreign though. Until the English FA realise that and do something about it the English National team will continue to suffer.

If that really was a penalty then I'll expect to see hundreds given each weekend for all the shirt tugging that goes on in the Premiership, the linesman (refs assistant) whatever felt sorry for us no more no less :help:

Of all the players out there only 2 did it for me Beckham and Crouch, whats the point of having a ball winner (Crouch) if you have no one running off him to poach his won ball :rules: come on guys read the script.

It's about time the FA kicked UK football right up the arse and sorted it out, stop the continual influx of so called better players from abroad and concentrate on home grown talent. Why is it always the premiership players who make up the team ? I know they are perceived to be the best WELL they clearly are not.

As for Mclaren going, he'll just be the latest to go for the failure of the players, we need to get a manager and stick with him, and not react to the red Tops of the sleazy press, they would'nt know who was England manager unless she had big tits

Have I been ranting, I tell you if I'd of been in that changing room at the start those guys would have known we were all dependant on them, half time I'd of probably resigned always prefferred to be in charge of my own destiny.

How about not paying them at all. It's not like they need the money! They should play for the pride of wearing the shirt when it comes to England.

The issues always come down to the same things:

  • Too many domestic matches
  • Too much reliance on the players at club level, due to the amount of money involved in sponsorship, gate tickets etc.
  • Not enough time playing together as "England" for them to gel properly as a team
  • Poor managerial decisions

JMO ;)

Amen to that

Down here in New Zealand the result was greeted with questions like Cro..who?

I read somewhere that McLaren wants the 3 teams above them to have their points deducted because "the fuel was the wrong temperature".....I don't understand what he means but it may be a lifeline for us.

In an Asian Cup qualifier last night New Zealand beat Vanuatu 4-1 in front of 3,200 fans....obviously captured the heart of the nation down here.

:thinking: There's no way we're letting that lot north of the border :D

Well McClaren has been sacked thank the lord! I think if more of the better players were on from the beginning then England would have stood a better chance of winning full stop. However when Beckham came on the game started to turn around...had the goal from Lampard and then most probably one of the best goals from Crouch which was obviously helped by Beckham.
If Rooney had played then there would have been a much higher chance of England winning along with the stronger players like Beckham.
They did play rubbish last night and their defending was, well, pretty much non existant!
Ok, rant over now!!
We'll just have to watch the football next year and say "what if!" Arggh! :bonk::bonk:

Yeh, sorry M8 did'nt mean to include you, I reckon that Fat Lard Barwick should go to

They appointed Mclaren who was second best, and lets not forget Sven's understudy, who failed to pass on his learnings, for me there's only man for the job, but I'll not jump on the bandwagon.

Whoever they appoint needs to be in the job for a good time to reevaluate where we are in terms of football :help:

You'd have lost in the quarter's, maybe semi's again. I can't work out why, with a decidedly average squad, there's still a belief the English team should be winning Euro's and World Cups :cuckoo:

A new manager isn't going to change that.

Don't doubt those you think are not capable...they've won in the past.
Howver, I do agree that its the way they play not the manager but the manager is responsible for whos playing so maybe a new manager could change that....
As for next year, well, nothing is going to bring England back, but they will have another chance in the future!

[hums tune] Those days are past now, and in the past, they must remain[/hums tune]

That's optimism, not objectivity. ;) Your current squad is average and lacks depth, if that wasn't the case you'd have qualified from a group which wasn't exactly full of the recognised top nations.

Let's face it, players earning £30/40/50K upwards a week really shouldn't need too much coaching. Maybe they're caught up in their own hype too?

Ok, I may have to agree with that.
Someone has to stick up for the England sqaud, hehe!! Just doing my bit!
They may have got a bit too cocky and taking things too much in their stride?!

Thinking back quite a long way, I wonder if it would have been different if Brian Clough had been give the job many years ago

It seems to me we have lost our way in the field (sic) of International Football and we need a complete rethink, thats management, players, trainers etc and that includes the lardies at the FA:shrug:

What we need to bring back is the hunger, passion, emotion, pride, spirit and skills that should come with the England shirt, some of us would die in that shirt for our country:thumbs:

What's the difference between Lewis Hamilton and the England football team?
Lewis Hamilton still has McLaren.

The Three Lions on the England Team Shirts are to be replaced with three tampons. This is to reflect the worst period in their history.

I've been told that oxo are going to bring out a new red and white cube to commemorate mclaren's spell as manager.

It's going to be called "the laughing stock"

Not a bad pay day for Steve McClaren! I mean £2.5m pay off for failing to get England to Euro 2008!

Already the press are putting names forward such as Murinho,Capello, O'Neill, Marcel!! Not sure about the last one's football history but he does a great job for Talk Photography FC!
