Oh no! Not another 365! My take on 2009 - From Poland, with love!

Day 104 of 365

Another hard to choose from...900 shots in 5 hours  This one stood out though...lit from the side by the video man's million watt (well, it felt like that anyway) light..I thought it really brought out the colours better than my bounced flash did at times! Perhaps it is the shadows, maybe they add a bit of depth...

This is the first point at which the bride and groom were together, at which point, I think...they were already married! I'm beginning to get my head around how it all works, but it's a slow process

Light looks mahussive, can see the shaddow on the sofa bit next to the bride.

Good shot though, colourfull subjects :D

You could feel the warmth of it if you were stood anywhere within 6ft of it! You couldn't see much mind you...but you could feel it

Day 105 of 365

First self portrait of me in a while! Today has been the first day in ages where I have had no where to go! Except to post a couple of bits...but that was only half an hour out! I have however had to burn about 7 or 8 DVDs worth of old photos (and other 7 or 8 to go!), and still have 4 weddings to edit...which I'll start on this evening! Also I have sent off 2 full time photography job applications...so something else to look forward to :)

Like the shot,

Been tortured to play Monopoly for about 2 hours.

Day 106 of 365

I finished off the Asian wedding I have been shooting today...the 3rd and final day! Now about a month editing  Anyway, I decided to dedicate today's photograph to the bride, her groom, and his side of the family...as it was that side I was hired by! The brides side of the family had hired a separate photographer, which was a first on me...but quite the norm apparently! I've learnt a lot from doing this job, and had much fun in the process...and have been asked about doing 3 others :D

PS. It is nigh on impossible to get them all looking at the camera at the same time

I don't want to be mean Phil, but did any of them crack a smile? :D

 The occasion is very different from that of a wedding that you and I would normally imagine..the younger generation were happy to smile, the elder generation still have the belief that it is a formality in the upbringing of their child...! Very much business, if you will! This was pretty much at the end of the day though, and even the younger ones were struggling to raise a smile!

Speaking to my friend, the groom's brother, who had organised it, he sounded absolutely shattered...just imagine trying to organise 3 weddings in 3 days...!

Nice additions to the thread Phil. Sorry bout the late reply....easter well the plan was to do some low fly at the mach loop, in fact i`ve just got back, we got one hawk over two days......not the best but were heading back tomorrow in hope of a better day (mad I know).
Was at etherow on the bank holiday, bad idea it was packed and that was just with canada geese never mind people!

 I went over to Aberdarron/Morfa Nefyn over Good Friday and Saturday...wanted to head down to mach loop but don't think she would have let me, and glad I didn't now anyway  I've not been to Etherow for a while..the hide seemed 'ruined' because all the canada geese kept eating my seed :bang:

Cheers for catching up :D

Like I say...end of day almost...kids and weddings start off great, but after a couple of hours boredom and crankiness set it!

All the girls were smiley and happy in general, very accommodating too, if I didn't have a drink or plate of food in my hand they'd be asking what was wrong with me! :)

Cheers

Just having a catch up mate, I can see why you are busy, you wedding shots are wonderful! The colour in these is fantastic. The life of a pro tog eh?? :naughty:

Thanks very much! :) And I said I didn't want to end up doing weddings ...but at the minute, work is work! Even if I don't mind the perks :D

I dunno.

"What of it" is the question at hand here

Day 107 of 365

Macbook :D Sorry if the quality is a bit junk...the screen on my new Mabcook Black is much different to my PC, and can't be bothered turning it on to compare the two...so this post is just to show my elation at my new toy :D Woo! :D

Yep! It's a beauty....I umm'd and ahh'd over just getting a Windows laptop...but none looked pretty enough, and the idea of me getting it was to show work to prospective clients and so on...and I'm a great believer in first impressions ;)

And someone has just gone down a notch in my books :p

An odd photo though.
