Oh no! Not another 365! My take on 2009 - From Poland, with love!

I can just imagin you running to and fro LOL , I really need to get a remote

I was...and to make it worse, my camera was sat on my camera bag on my bed...so had to run round a double bed to check if it was good

Good shot Phil. I like the lighting, and the pose works well. :)

Thanks Dave...tried a few, had some funny faces but decided to embarass myself more than usual

Excellent shot, really works for me

Thanks! :)

How long were you at this then?

Oooooh must have taken about 25 shots, around 10 seconds a piece for running round the bed etc...and 3 or 4 minutes setting up, then packing away again...must have been around 12 minutes!

12 minutes well spent??

Nice shot there Phil, I know how much of a pain it is trying to get focus on a self portrait when my remote battery was dead took me what seemed like bloody ages

Yea..I do have a wired remote, but it just seems to work when it wants! The connection is a snug 3 pin fit into the camera so it isn't that... Cheap eBay jobbie though so that probably explains it! :(

Couldnt you use this one  ??

It looks kinda like its blushing :P

Day 051 of 365

Sorry! Just me today...no posing, nothing...I've had 3 pints and more to follow, this is just a brief minute I have between sessions :lol:Tomorrow however, I have attempt #2 at my trial date with the horses...wish me luck :D

Good luck Phil.

What time are you having to drag yourself out of the bed to get to this trial on time

Day 052 of 365

Finally! I got to show my worth :D My trial went really well, and I should be getting my working dates in the next few days! Now it's gone from worrying about actually getting it, to worrying about there being enough days to make it worthwhile  We shall see, but for now..I'm happy! :)

Thanks Marc! You really have to have your wits about you! I was surprised at the level of accuracy you need too, quality control is high...photos won't sell if the horses legs aren't captured right, and a fraction of a second makes all the difference.

 blimey thats amazing. Hope you get some crackers when your work dates come.

Great shot, rider and horse in focus. Not the easiest of subject matters for a photographer I imagine?

The jumping bit seemed the easiest, you could probably get way with prefocussing, switching to manual and just firing off a couple of frames as they come over....the dressage seems a lot harder! You have to capture the 'right' pose whilst the horse is cantering (my new word for the day...I think it's right )....or running as I called it :p

I like that shot, you've caught the clock midway between 3.5 and 3.6 as well....

Not a horsey person, but horse riding women.......

I thought it had said 3.0

Congrats Phil hope it all goes well, cracking shot too

Sean

Great couple of shots over the last few days - love the remote! Very advert-like :D

And the horse piccy is great, glad it's going well!!
