Love the smoke trails, like the gritty grainy processing too, looks good in mono
 
Haha just google fractals, you should find some free software pretty quickly.
A mate of mine used to generate them on his Archimedes. He'd click in the morning and see how it was going when he got back from college, he might get to click again before bedtime :lol:
You can add your own parameters to the equation, but I got bored after a couple of minutes.
 
You're young enough to work it out yourself :lol:

Todays was a very simple setup. You just need a dark BG and an off camera flash. Just fire the flash at the smoke and don't let it spill onto the BG.
I focused on the tip of an incense stick then switched to manual focus and recomposed (cam on tripod). Then just play with ISO, aperture and flash output.
It's actually easier if you turn the lights off after setting up.

Just found the ones I did 2 years ago.

Tricky to shoot though, same old problem I have all the time here, lack of space.
 
Initial attempt is pretty bad :lol:
He mainly sat there and looked as if to say "what the hell are you doing you idiot?".
I reckon I can make him go for it when he's receptive though :)

Just getting a feel for it, I'll have to come up with a few alterations and see if I can improve it enough to make a proper picture of it.

Poocat, or Danleigh Cremebrule (aka the white one) may go to a few shows if we ever get the paperwork sorted. Vicki's really missing the show scene.

I keep looking at the coloured pencils in Jacks room :lol: havent got to that stage yet!
 
Well, Fred won his first 3 shows, that's what made him Premier. He also got his 4th Premier Certificate at the Supreme show last year. Breeder wants him back, seriously.

Haven't tried Poo yet, but I think he'd do quite well as he's very laid back. Vicki wants a new kitten to show.
