Oh my god I am so happy!!! : PANEL ADDED

Thanks for the kind words everyone :)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticising your panel at all; it would take me a month of Sundays to get nowhere close to even one of those shots, let alone a solid set of 20!

I just interpreted it as needing to contain a range in so much as there was macro, night, strobist, etc. when they refer to range of techniques

I know what you mean, but the idea is to put together a panel in your chosen field (as its that field you will be awarded the qualification in) mine was documentary. If you had done macro, it would be macro photography etc... You cannot get a qualification by submitting a photo for each discipline, you have to enter into a category like weddings, portraits, landscapes etc... But you also have to have a working profile too to back up your work.

Being a complete newbie I'm not sure what the BIBB etc is other than a photographic body, but congrats are certianly in order!

Great set of shots there too. I love the rusty tones and the angles in some of them, and they tell a story and make you wonder what actually happened. Top draw!

Awesome shots!!! Love them all. Does that mean you can now get a job in McDonalds? lol

Damn, wish I'd seen these before going out to take photos of the Aristea wreck last week. Doubt I'll get an opportunity to photograph it again but these gave me some amazing ideas about what you can do with a shipwreck.

Ah well.

Congrats on the BIPP Associateship sir.

As a Seafarer who has been through some hellish storms i think this panel is superb and having the story behind it adds real impact and life to the images.

Very well done Jamie!

Just brilliant, I cant see anything wrong in any of these exposures perfectly balanced IMO. Im sure there were some pretty tough shadows to overcome considering it seemed such a bright day all natural or any external light? Love the colours but moreso the tones and they all fit together beautifully, top job.

Well done - a cracking set, but I can't resist....

Surely the subtitle for this is "Looking up Kate's Hole"?
20.

Very nice, James. A well-deserved award. Love the processing and the wide angle, holds the whole set together.

Just got back from a hellish day filming for 10 hours straight so it's really nice to see such kind words :) thank you all, and some of these comments really made me laugh

Funnily enough I was a bit worried about some of the graffiti, but I guess it adds to the scene... Well maybe not bumhole!

Oh, and "looking up kates hole"

One more thing, anyone thinking of submitting a panel, feel free to contact me if you want advice on the submissions as I went through many printers, paper choices and mounting choices before I settled on the best way to present the images, and I also did some things wrong along the way too ;)

Congratulations - fantastic set of images that for me really tell the story

Congratulations James!

How about posting a "to do list" or an action list of what to do, prepare etc so others can learn from your experience.

Well done with the panel, a nice collection of images, and they are well balanced and matched, makes a nice set.

Out of interest, what is the benefit of being an associated of the BiBB?

Lovely set ............. give us a clue on how you processed them?
