Well, my youngest son has decided to come home tonight after two years living with his girlfriend.

Just spent the last two and a half hours helping arrange his bedroom, setting up a tv (including running a coaxial cable half way round the house).

He's unpacked his aftershaves and deodorants, making the house smell like a male brothel.

He then decides he wants to watch tv in the living room, in MY chair, eating MY peanuts and, drinking MY wine.

Good to have him back though! :arghh:

Ground rules, that's what you need! take him down the pub, make him buy the beer and straighten him out! :)

I can tell you still love him. He's your boy back home with his old man. Enjoy his company before he flees again.

Definitely make the most of this kind of scenario. Must be a strange thing though after (presumably) all this time.

The only problem with ground rules is, there's a mother in the house to put a spanner in the works................and please don't tell me to stand my ground, I'm too old for conflict :D

Yea, love him to bits, could be worse, all three could decide to come home!

Yep, even more strange now, when he was here from a kid, I was the alpha male, now, after experiencing ruling his own roost, he's more alpha than me.

Move house....

in the dead of the night....

....to a one bedroom cottage in the country....

....a country a LONG way away :D

Nah, Just gotta learn to be subservient.

him or you? :ROFLMAO:

I lived back with my parents for a couple of weeks immediately after my youngest was born as husband was decorating the living room, and it was probably the most painful 2 weeks ever. Was reminded why I moved out just before my 19th birthday in the first place. My Dad and I love each other to bits, but we clashed horribly when under the same roof! Luckily these days, age has mellowed both of us and we regularly stay at his or he here in total ease ;)

Oh me of course

To be honest, it's quite nice having him around (so far), I think once they leave home and get a taste of the real pressures of independence, it brings another level of mutual respect to both kids and parents.

I love when my kids come to stay....would move them both back home in the morning plus the grandson and I suppose I would have to bring his father too:D
