Just done this test on the BBC website - http://www.bbc.co.uk/guides/z3g487h

It is supposed, from the answers you give to a number of statements, to find the place in the country where you are likely to be most (and least) satisfied with life.

My results suggest I would be happiest in Suffolk and least happy where I live now:eek:.

I should not be living here
I don't need a test to tell me that :D
However, after 'slightly' agreeing/disagreeing to all the questions, I have to strongly disagree with it's conclusion.

Everybody knows the phase "Home is where your heart is."

The computer is only pre-programmed to give answers based on pre-set questions. Only you would know if you are really happy wherever you are. The computer suggested to me places it thinks I would be happy, but those places it suggested are not my cup of tea! Sorry BBC, I do not compute your logic.

Let's see what bright ideas the BBC will come up with next.

It wouldn't matter where I lived, I'd still be surrounded by idiots... probably :)

 apparently I would happiest in North East Leicestershire!! Sorry Surrey, least happy down there... more amusingly of where I am and nearby places, it tells me I would be happier in Camden, in other words, the one place I know almost as well as where I do live and wild horses wouldn't drag me to live there :runaway:

Whoever devised that test needs their head examined. I live out in the sticks in west central Scotland and love it. The test concluded that I would be happy living in Stratford on Avon. What am I expected to do there - watch the stunts of the runts in the punts

You don't have to take your house of mirrors with you ;)

I disagree... that would be the only sensible company I'd get ;)

Said something about North Lincolnshire where I'd be happiest, seems kind of cut off to me (although they make nice sausages), but I've only ever lived in London, Bath and Taunton so never really considered going up North. Said West Somerset would be the place I'd be happiest locally but I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than move to Minehead or Porlock lol!

Gedling Nottinghamshire for me. Never heard of the place, cant say the county does anything for me. Then again not a million miles away from where I an now. As an alternative it was Hertfordshire.

And least likely some place in Scotland. Yup very unlikely ill ever choose to live there from all the places in the world. Just too far away from London.

What a load of b*****ks, tells me North Lincolnshire, why the hell would I want to live south of the border :exit:

It says Yorkshire Dales for me but I'll stick with Perthshire.

I wonder if the designer of the thing is trying to flog a house in Surrey? It suggested that I would be 65.5% happy there but only 65% happy here. Thanks but I'll be staying here for the time being!

im wondering what the initial bit is where you choose between a picture of flats, rows of housed or a detached country house - i prefer flats to houses as id rather have spending money over a mega mortgage but then it chose me north lincolnshire which would be mainly houses as very rural area

Looks like I should stay where I am!

because if you left you'd no longer have to get worked up about independence ;)

North East Lincolnshire:- Rural .....choose between Scunthorpe Steel works and Grimsby Docks. They don't do flats very much as the properties are so cheap that you really don't need to hear next doors arguments and escapades.

(Not that all NE Lincs is that bad).

Funny how Google didn't pick it for their UK HQ despite what the Telegraph had to say.

Maybe the software is fixed to persuade BBC Executives to move from Surrey to Salford ;)

Hart for me, where that? North East Hampshire apparently. It has generally reported higher than average levels of agreeableness, and lower than average levels of neuroticism and I'd be 3% happier than where I am, Camden, although if I move to the City I'll improve my lot by 1%, if I could afford to move to the City I'd certainly be happier. I'll be off to Hart then.

I should apparently Move to Oxford!

Hey ... me too!! See you there! I'd be least happy in the Outer Hebrides .... Never been there, so really can't comment, but I'd expect it to the wild and scenic with lots of fresh air - just my kind of place. Oxford, on the other hand, is a city full of tourists and students on bikes and has very steep property prices. Sort of place i'd avoid like the plague ....

So ... as someone has already said ... a load of old @£$%^&%* ....:)
