Yes
I'm trying to get a copy of Office 2024 for my new laptop (Just for Word really so the one off payment).
I've tried Groupon and it was a nightmare...whenever I tried to redeem the voucher I got "This site can't be reached" I think Norton was blocking it.
I ended up "Talking" to the AI 'Bot and should get a refund in 7 to 10 days (It's only £13.00)
Can anyone recomend a site I can download whatever code I need...where did you get yours?

EDIT I've just looked at the Microsoft store for it and they want £124.00!

Having used Word for several decades, I’ve now been using Libre Office for the last few years. Does everything I needed Word* for, including reading, editing and creating Word documents. Definitely worth checking out IMHO before lashing out for MS Office.

*Excel too

Yeah....85 quid a year for 365 or free (forever) for Libre. £13 is very likely to be some kind of dodgy.

If you're often connected and don't hate Google, their office suite is very nice for free. I use sheets in preference to Excel if I want to share documents or automate something.

Another Libre Office fan
It will open all MS word files and can save as various MS word formats.

The licences you find for sale on groupon and Ebay etc are taken from computers that have been dismantled and recycled, they actually will work fine although its a bit of a grey area around if they are legal or not. Lots of people use them with no issues.

Have a look at cjs-cd keys. £10 will get you a lifetime version of office 2024 standard.

I understand its classed as grey market site. Not looking to get into pros and cons, just saying. Saying that these are genuine ms product keys, authorised on ms servers, not cracked versions.

Libre Office suits me. The only thing I will say is that you have to have the full package, which is fine, but I only ever use Writer.

still using office 2013 with old enterprise keys i am sure it will get blocked at some point

FWIW

I have bought new(refurbished) laptops, and the supplier offered as an option Office 2024 which I bought too. This was the SoHo version including Outlook

IIRC is added approx £130 to the bill.

@Graham W
Have you asked the laptop supplier if they have an offer on Office 2024 to add it retrospectively to the order?

PS in my case the purchase was for a redeemable code to download it from the MS Store. So fully genuine and trouble free.

HTH

Libre office works perfectly
You need a pretty special use case to require Microsoft one.
Google apps are good if you like storing things on google drive and using ai on them

Hi chaps. Thanks for all the replys, very useful.
I have a load of Word documents, may of which are "Live" in that they need constant updates, I understand from what's been said that Libra allows this?
Getting an addition from my laptop supplier sounds interesting...depends how easy it is to contact Dell!

I've been using Libre more or since it first appeared as Open Office.

It does the business and you can slip them a small donation when your concience stings you ... or not ;)

Hi gang.
Just downloaded Libre and it seems to be working well with Word doc's if a little clunky...that'll be my un-familiarity!
I tried Dell to get a 2024 licence but they would only sell the full package for three quaters of a million pounds (Or there abouts).
Thanks again chaps.
Iirc there are some other forks (or possibly Libre itself) that allow you to skin it almost exactly like Word.
