Off to pick up our new car

Enjoy, I hope you have a nice time and be treated like a King/Queen.

Enjoy!
Got a lovely day for it. :-)

It is a scorcher today, just going to jump in the shower and put fresh clothing on. Missus wont want a stinker getting in her new car. ;)

Absolutely!
Unless she wants to test the boot space. :sneaky:

Picked up the new car, nice and comfy and plenty of room. Not sure where everything is, or how certain things work. Salesperson said there was a problem with the owners manual, he said they were sent the wrong ones. Got to wait a little while, he is posting it on to us. Looks like the first trip, will be over to youtube. :)

That was the first thing the missus asked, he showed us how to do it as we were setting off. We did a bit of clothes shopping ( the missus did ) on the way home, by the time we got out of the retail park, we had forgotten how to do the air con. Fun driving home, pressing buttons and wing mirrors and windows being activated by accident.

LOL Surely its a case of just set it and forget about it ;) I generally just leave mine on 20 Celcius and let it does its magic. No need to touch it there after. You've got the nice and fancy version in that car.

Must have accidentally turned it off, all the button pushing we were doing. :)

19.5°C in summer, 21.5 in winter on my side, Mrs Nod fiddles with her side but it's about the same. Big button marked "AUTO" goes straight to CC as set.

As low as it goes in summer.

Same version that I have in my Focus and I very rarely use it. If I do, I just put the AC on max for a few minutes to chill the system, then turn it off and leave the fan on low speed temp setting to low and it continues to circulate cold air. May need to repeat after an hour or so, but the air normally remains cold enough in the car.

Did an early morning shop, and yes I went in the new Galaxy. Lovely to drive, plenty of room for all those shopping bags. I was going to have a play with all the buttons and switches, but we did not get the owners manual with it. I have looked on the pdf file as suggest above. But somehow it is not the same, really do like a paper book to look through, while fiddling with buttons.

User manuals are for wimps! What can't you work out?

Plus, it has a touch screen panel for various things. Touch different parts of the screen, and different things come up. Then you have to enter into a menu system, I soon get lost.

In cars I much prefer just to use the buttons. Especially when driving.

Me and the missus take turns to be co driver, whoever is the passenger tends to fiddle with the buttons and knobs. I have a feeling the touch screen may be a distraction, I may not use it when driving.

The funny thing is that those systems work well with my Germanic English speaking voice, yes my well spoken English wife turns it into a Ozzy Osborne sketch (for those who seen him try it out in his BMW).

In case nobody has a clue what I was on about, isn't it great that someone has this kind of stuff ready on youtube ;)
