Leaving for (hopefully) sunny Majorca early tomorrow and I've packed the GS645S and a selection of colour and b&w film ... and a Rollei Redbird one-use camera.

A 35mm (equivalent) f/4 lens and an arty one-shot - probably the most limited set of kit I've ever taken on a trip. Should be interesting :D

Enjoy your trip Dean look forward to seeing your result and just a word of warning, the Rollei Redbird doesn't respond well in low light conditions.

Go on then you go off and enjoy yourself, we'll just sit here in the cold and wet.....
Have fun mate.(y)

Thanks chaps, just landed and it's awfully sweaty already :D

Nick, I thought that about the sample shots I found on flickr, thought coming here would be a good chance to use it in the sunshine. :)

I tried one for the IBTL challenge and really struggled to drag anything out of the negs where there was no decent light.

Oh, balls, I meant to take something for that. And the things are looking up challenge.

Yeah, timing is another of the things I probably should work on...

BTW it's 22 degrees C here right now and it's only 10 o'clock :D

Enjoy yourself Dean ...just be sure to get back before the 18th!!!!:D and yes 22 celsius at 10 am is quite nice isn't it?? How i feel for them poor sods you left behind under grey skies :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Enjoy Dean,

You will definitely get great light this time of year.

I'm back, a bit red in places and loving all the rain we're getting since I arrived. No, really, it's helping me appreciate how great Majorca is.

Beautiful island, though we'd managed to find a location that wasn't particularly photogenic, more relatively-recent tourist resort than olde worlde charm but still had fabulous light and enough to see and do. We hired a car one day and drove up to Lluc for a lluc at the sanctuary (I know, I'm hilarious) and then on to Port d'Andratx and back through Magaluf just so we could say that we'd seen it. Definitely a place we want to return to, which is a first for a holiday destination that isn't a country :)

Shot plenty of colour and B&W, nowhere near started developing them yet, unsure whether the GS is a camera for me if I'm honest. Easy to use, nice to frame and so on but on more than one occasion I found myself wishing I'd brought the 'blad or a 35mm camera. I'll have another think about it once I've got the films developed.

I shot redbird at fairford, and nearly every shot was under exposed, not sure if I messed up, but treat it like iso 50 perhaps
