I want to try a variety of shots tomorrow, long exposure on water, B&W landscapes, all sorts really. I'm taking my Canon 400D, and probably my tripod. Any location advice and setting suggestions greatly received.

Thank-you!

Postbridge is very pretty but you need to be there early to avoid the coach tours.

Have fun!

WHS but substitute Dartmoor for Postbridge.

If you haven't already got it, get the Yellow (or is it orange these days) OS map of the moor to help plan shoots and shots. Personally, I find the moor a bit of a waste of time photographically during the tourist season - best during winter for dramatic lighting and empty, windswept landscapes.

Here are a few suggestions for locations.

Bonehill Rocks
Huccaby Bridge
Venford Reservoir
10 Commandments stone
Scorhill stone circle.

Head out of town (Exeter) via Moretonhampstead and keep your eyes open for photo ops.

Keep your speed down and your eyes open - a sheep makes a hell of a mess even at 40.

The tripod it a must really if you want to take the long exposures with water. Im not too clued up on Dartmoor but should explore it more as it not too far from me:thumbs:
