Hello all, I have recently invested in an SB700 which I am delighted with BUT...I was fiddling around with set ups yesterday to try and achieve side-lit portraits but I can only fire my SB700 remotely by using my on camera flash, resulting in a front and side lit picture.
I have tried adjusting the power of my on camera flash but couldn't, in fact I only seemed to make it more pwerful, not less. I normally shoot in A mode, would I be able to adjust the power in Manual or is there something basic I am missing (technique or equipment)? I wondered about an electronic flash trigger rather than the on camera flash or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Many thanks for any help
