If the flash will do TTL when it is on the camera, then you should be able to use the YN622 triggers and receivers to control the power remotely. The YN622 trigger system talks to the flashes as if they were on the camera so they don't need a remote capability themselves (but they do nee dto have a TTL on-camera capability as the YN622s use this function to turn the power up and down - so a completely manual YN460-II would not work here for example). I use my SB900's like this. You can get the YN622-TX and YN622 receivers for both Nikon and Canon now. (YN622N and YN622C respectively..) The transmitters are about £40 and the receivers £25 each.
