Technical question - (apologies if this isn't the correct forum)

Shot at my 1st studio with model a few days ago and have notices a wired interference on a few pics - only on Denim. I was wondering if someone could explain if this is "natural phenomena" something I'm doing or if its a fault?

Shooting with a Sony A37 - stock 18-55 lens. Latest firrnware.

Noise is visible on RAW & JPG and also on camera preview screen.

Only present on 5 out of 30 or so shots, all from same position & setting.

All sample here are 100% crop

The above shot has red circles just off center (right) of the pocket

Any assistance greatly appreciated

James

Thanks both for the quick replies.

At least its not a fault, just found a limitation of the camera or the lens or both on my 1st outing?

Have an inferiority complex now in going back, everyone there said I should bin the Sony and go Canon or Nikon :o( -

Be interesting to find out if they have had the same issue?

Thanks James.

Bummer is - the eternal search for that pin sharp image.... only to be too sharp! :o(

It's just a fact of life. Different cameras w/ different lenses will have issues at different times. A camera w/o an AA filter will have issues when other cameras do not.

The end of the article I linked to gives some tips on avoiding/eliminating it.
