I have bought a sony ericsson k800i mobile phone and had it unlocked from vodafone so i can put my old O2 sim card in it but can't recieve 3G as I need to get an O2 3G sim card.

Where can I get one of these 3G sim cards as I can't find anything on the O2 website about them?

Cheers

Ross

I think you need to call them.

I had a similar need a few months ago (Long story entailing about 50 PDA's, and Appalling Orange signal for Data and a search for a service provider that would be a better solution), and ended up speaking to someone in an O2 shop. She said the PAYG sims they sell in the stores are not data enabled (apparently that's the magic phrase you need to use when on the phone), but all of the online sims sold are PAYG. Weird, but apparently true.

Hope that was useful (and my first post!!!)

Welcome Tony :)

Walk into an o2 shop and ask for a 3G sim card. Simple really!

Thanks Steep!

Ross: I was told they don't sell them as Data cards, you must buy a data enabled Sim online.

call them. they will be happy to send you one for free (i've done it a couple of times)
you will then have to call them again and wait 3 or 4 days to have your number transfered to your new card is thats what you want to do

Thanks Steep!

I walked into an o2 shop yesterday and swapped a 2G sim for a 3G sim for my company phone. It's a contract rather than PAYG though so I could be wrong.
