Went 6 times last year and loved every minute of it. Going back in 2 weeks for the first time this year and I can't wait :D

The first one you linked to is Hans Stuck racing a BMW touring car and by god does he have balls of steel. Downloading the 2nd now.

The last one is actually a Radical SR8 and it smashed the record with a time of 6 mins 55 seconds http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2990770163894389660&pl=true

Ah yes that’s it...Nice one...doh ,me. That is one flipping quick lap...

evilowl, you seem to have a darn good time with all the racing and stuff. I'm hoping to get a visit in to the ring myself this year, on that bike in my sig hopefully....yeeeha.

Thanks for that though....who said katerum.  I know nothing about the cars involved to be honest.

Yeah I love it :D

This trip I'm going with 12 other Civic Type R's and Integra DC5's . We're spending 2 days at the Nurburgring and then driving south through Austria and into Switzerland to tackle the many mountain passes, then west into France and following the Route Des Grand Alps down to Monaco - with the finale being the Col Du Turini WRC rally stage.

Then it's back up via Cannes to Grasse to pick up the N85 Route Napoleon to Grenoble and back to Calais via the deserted Reims circuit.

Here's a few of the roads we'll be tackling as seen from a bikers point of view

The Furka Pass in Switzerland is probably my favourite driving road of all time - this year I have a Manfrotto windscreen mount for the camcorder and also a 520TVL bulletcam from dogcamsport.co.uk for external mounting down by the wheels or on the front bumper so should get some good footage :D

its Caterham by the way ;)

I know a few people that go regularly :) http://www.northloop.co.uk/

Ah, thank you, I blame 70s schooling myself.

Nice site that....that picture of Clarkson and your friend Gary, Its like father and son..

I myself have never been to the ring..., But worse, I've never been to the TT either  ...I know, despicable behaviour. To make it worse, I've been invited twice on fully paid trips, and I still didn't go.

And I didn't book any tickets in October so I’m not going this year either...:bang:

Hayho :D

Oh, and excuse the post and dash last night guys, something came up.

Thanks FB I enjoyed watching those. In the first clip is that a chipped windscreen?

regards

Wow, I bet you blinking do what a fantastic trip. I'm sooo jealous that’s just going to be one grin after another.

I've done a bit of Euro-touring stuff, I say touring but really I mean knee down craziness with stops for petrol. The last trip was a mad dash to The Black Sea on the Romanian coast, via Austria, Hungary etc......2000 miles which we managed in 35 hours (From Hackney)... That may not sound that quick, but driving through those eastern countries in the middle of the night, on motorways that have no street lights, huge pot holes and diversions that go through farm yards, with donkeys pulling carts in the fast lane...and, in the wrong direction...tends to keep the speed down. :D
I remember the donkey vividly, mainly because I only saw it because of my lights reflecting in its retina...that was one quick manoeuvre I can tell you...
...luckily my mate was following at a distance and saw me move...if he'd been on my tail, YKWIM

I've watched a couple of your vids...top stuff  Bookmarked that page. And I look forward to your viewing your new footage. Especially the low stuff, that’s sure to produce some exciting shots

That's not my website I might add, just thought you would appreciate the link as it's the same roads we'll be tackling, but taken from a biker's point of view. I haven't ridden anything larger than a 50cc Yamaha lol
