but i guess humour doesn't translate well.
Oh well.
No. I was just referencing all the other 'scam' posts. Of course it isn't a scam, but i guess humour doesn't translate well.
Oh well.

Libraries are 'not for profit' organisations, their budgets are being slashed and they're asking for photo's to help promote and protect their services - it'd be churlish not to help.
Would it be a 'scam' if the local nightclub was asking for free images and enticing photographers to give them up using ego stroking? Obviously IMO Yes.
But we need to understand the difference between charitable work and being hoodwinked by someone who'll make money by taking advantage of our vanity![]()
More and more libraries are being run by private companies now so are not charitable or not for profit organisations. But it is true that the local authority wants to see massive cuts or "efficiency savings" every year.
The new library in Birmingham looks like its going to be a really good looking space, I'd love to get there to take some pics.
Artists impression of the new library...

London Headshots said:I wouldn't begrudge a library the right to try and get free photographs. They give out free books, and are one of the only public services in this country worth preserving.
