Novice needing help

Ok I am a complete novice in editing photos and I am not afraid to admit it. I recently took the following photo at Chester Zoo and the only thing stopping me using it more is the thin grass thing that goes from right to left on the cheetahs face(yes I know part of the left ear is missing but I dont think it retracts from the photo). Is there anyone able to remove that from the photo for me? I can e-mail the full size picture as I have got my flickr to prevent downloads(so they claim) if its needed.

Nice image. Were you shooting through a fence? Looks like some interesting diffraction effects on the grass to the left of the cheetah.

And +1 for Ian's fix!
