Hi all, My husband bought me a new camera a couple of years back and I thought it was about time in learnt how to use it properly, I have a Panasonic FZ45 with a uv lens and a tripod.
I have signed up for a beginners digital photography course but am interested in any recommendations regarding where to buy equipment locally (Liskeard) or internet suppliers.
Would also be interested in areas for good shoots.

Hi Kerry, the only place I can say I have had good service from around your area is London Camera Exchange in Plymouth had a couple of good deals with them on s/h lenses.

Hi Kerry, welcome from a Fellow Cornish Tog. May I suggest as the new Season of Camera Club Meetings are due to start that you find your Local one and join. Search Google.

Remember all those Members were Beginners too at one time.
 
Can't speak for Cornwall or Plymouth since I don't shop that far West but a few miles further East brings you to Mifsuds, a real Alladin's cave full of second hand kit for if/when you upgrade. Exeter used to have a few camera shops but is now down to just 2 in the city centre, London Camera Exchange and Jessops.
 
Hi Kerry (from another in Cornwall). Shop wise we don't have a great deal. London Camera Exchange mentioned above is where most of my gear has come from, there's also a little shop in Bodmin that's quite good, also in Falmouth and St Ives (bought from all of these and had good service).

Location wise, we are spoilt for choice :)
