I have at last joined the realms of people with "proper cameras" I have been given a Nikon D60 as an early Xmas present. It comes with an extra 55-200 lens. I have taken some excellent photos but perhaps you can help me. I have taken some Macros but could I get better using the 55-200 lens. I need it spelt out to me as I am a complete novice but soooo getting into it.

If you have a look through some of the dfferent sections here on TP you'll find a wealth of information. If you don't find exactly what you need just post a question in the relevant section and someone will no doubt be able to help :)

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can take true macros with that lens, but they could be close ups. One thing you will learn is that you present, while it is a lovely one .. it will cost you a fortune in the long run :lol: You'll be wanting lots of different lenses for lots of different things. None of them come cheap (well apart from the Nifty Fifty that is :lol:).
