Nottingham Vision

Hi,

Thought I would post this up as my photography club have a talk by a photographer called Martine Hamilton Knight this coming tuesday. Her website is as follows

Nice to see some shots of Nottingham, specially the lacemarket stuff, including many shots of the college I went to I wasnt over impressed with the shots in the lace market section though, nothing really wrong with them, but compared to some of the others, such as the Warf at dusk etc, they didnt seem to be anything but ordinary. The whole site seems to be the same. Some amazing shots, the rest just a bit...middle of the road, nothing wrong..nothing really special about them, though.

Yeah I know what you mean, one other thing that annoyed me was the navigation of the site, switching between images and so on. I like the photo pn the homepage of the nottingham site which is of the waterfront at night, lovely colours

Anyone else have any opinions on this photographers work?

Some nice photos, some i dont get.. awful website though... the transistion effects between the shots is horrid and really not needed.

well i would have to say - nothing really special about the pics, but then maybe cos its mostly buildings which doesn't interest me that much. I agree with Darryn, the pic transition is very distracting

Really unimpressed. I know Nottingham doesn't have as many interesting buildings as somewhere like Liverpool or London but the pictures seem more at home on an estate agent's website than a photographers.
