Just to remind you all that Summer in Germany is fine...dry and warm for the most part with a few heavy storms now and then over the last month or so...
Today it's 28C, light westerley breeze and some fluffy white clouds off in the distance...lol

Smug .......... Grrr!

Kind of you to let us know Arkady.
It is sunny and 32 degrees in Southern Spain, where I live - trouble is, I am in London working all summer (again - lived out there for 6 years, spent 6 summers away from my wife, my kids, my music, my home...) 7 days a week, 14- 16 hours a day, and after 3 weeks, I get to go home for 3 days to give Kate the money, the kids a kiss, and to water my trees (got almonds to harvest soon !)

hahaha My mum has olive trees, almonds and apricots at her place in Somontin...so I know what you mean...

Yup - we too have olives, oringes, apricots, lemons, apples, pommergranits (?sp) and grapes - the wine we make is the most awful thing ever tasted, but our neighbours all make it, and we are expected to join in (party as they are all in their late 80's, making me the child labour force..)

How can you tell from the cat house?

Yeah but you're surrounded by Germans.

Kinda evens things out a bit doesn't it?

Sunny with blue sky and puffy white clouds here too.............and lovely English countryside! :D

 not funny, mucky white here.

Only joking at least someone is getting ok weather :) .

i really like my swimming pool in the garden now...admittedly it goes away when the rain stops...

Yes, but Rob, we have more interesting stuff than car boot sales to take pics of! (Or have things improved?) ;)

YEah we have cats, and dogs, and hamsters and stuff...PETS.....Bet you'd LOVE that wouldn't you?

(For those not in the know, Rob doesn't like photos of pets. I believe there have been veiled threats involving firearms and pet photos in the past...lol :D)

Could 3,000 members simultaneously waving their arms about waft the gulf stream southwards a bit? Apparently this is the cause of the slightly damp weather here in the UK. I'm sure Athens would be most grateful.

'Slightly damp' Phil

Tis persisting down yet again in Wolves.

The words 'landslide' have been uttered up the road in Bewdley.

Im getting SAD through lack of sunlight here :(

Time to start waving those arms .... or should we just all hop on a plane to Athens instead!

Hopping on a plane sounds like a damn good idea...any TP members out there we could crash with?

The weather here is a pain, if it don't stop raining soon I may well be out of a job eventually, and its so windy today I can't do anything either.
I'm getting fed up with it now:shake:

It's absolutely slashing it down here - real torrential rain and looks set in for the day. I can't remember a more depressing summer. :(

I can. Was about 5 years ago when we had prolonged hot days... ;)

Right.......... Doesn't affect me cause... I LOVE THE RAIN! :D

Phil T - I would love to open the doors to you all - southern Spain is glorious, but I am in London working. That said, having been looking at some of the members pictures recently, it might seem that all females would get to the top of the list - I will try to put up a picture of myself once I do get home, just to re-assure you that it is not just the women that are good looking....

Hmmm...maybe if I shaved real close & borrowed a frock?
I don't know - London 6 months of the year, Spain the other? Looks like you've only got it half right!
Planning on moving half-way myself in the next few years!!

LOL. I'm not a sun worshiper either, but a bit of balance would be nice. :gag:

Hehe yeah. Nice sunnyish days with a cool breeze and Im happy.

Tuesday was nice...just right IMO.
Although I dont mind a rainy day, or a cold wintry day....At least its easier to get dry and warm, than it is to cool down/

Phil - planning on moving half way - what, to France ? Go a bit further, and get to Spain !
As for shaving and borrowing a frock - I may have all you need....!
But, half the year here - that is purely to earn a crust - wages out there are really low, and we have debts - Kate and the kids are out there full time, it's just me suffering and lonely and working as many hours as possible to get my sad little butt back out there asap

Had looked at Spain mate - Andalucia. Prob is we need to earn a living without spending half a year in UK!! Also have 2 native horses who wouldn't do so well, & I speak French but not Espanol!!
You've made the move though so well done.
I work in London a fair bit if you want to catch up sometime!!!

Well, let me know when you are planning a trip to London and if I am in town, then we should meet up - you can bring a laptop, if you have one, and teach me how to post pictures on here -I am not the biggest pc expert, and need a clever bod to show me..
Good luck with your move, when it happens - best thing we have ever done, and the plan is that in the next year or so I will be full time out there.
One last thing - I had hoped that one of those beautiful women on this forum might pick up on the 'little old me being lonely here' rather than just you.
No joy so far...

Arkady has a mum??????

Will do - prob week after next (on hols). Will be armed with craptop (i.e. one from work!). Hope you get a better offer in the meantime!!!

Very tempting!!! Unfortuately you're a tad far for us - saw your thread on your new place - it looks stunning. Bet you're missing the crap weather, warm beer, high taxes (better stop there all I'll be here all day) though....

I am missing my husband but that's about it. I've got my Mother in law this weekend though so I might be cursing him then..

Oh thats right, invite them, but when I offer to work for free...twice...I get the knockback

/flounces off in a girly manner and a huff

Your welcome to come and visit Marcel just not stay! Your lovely and all but I can't imagine I need another young man to clean up after. Cuz you say you'll clean but you won't, we know you won't.
