No
I sent them an email 2 days ago telling them i needed to cancel my order. This afternoon they took the money out of my account. No sign of a reply to my email

They may have sent the item out for delivery and put the payment through before they received your e-mail and it's taken 2 days for the transaction to show up on your account. Send them another e-mail chasing up the first.

.......unless you expect 7dayshop to be reading this forum in which case, continue to whinge about it here.

I have sent them another email. I sent the first one 2 hours after i made the order asking to cancel. Looks like they just haven't read it. They might be reading this... so i'll continue to whinge!

Good luck! I tried to cancel a delayed order a couple weeks back. Received an email a few days later to say that it had been sent. It then arrived a week later. I couldn't be bothered to send it all back as their communication is appalling. Last time I use them unfortunately, shame I was happy these last years with their bits and bobs. Good products, bad service and communication.

They're based on an island somewhere so i expect them to be a bit slow but FFS sort your coms out! NO phone, No replies to email, No way to stop them taking money from my account.

The payment dosen't complete till they process the order. All they had to do was read the email and then not take the money from my account. How hard can that be?

The easiest way to stop them taking money from your account is to not ask them to do so in the first place.

I doubt they are overly pleased with you placing an order then cancelling it within a couple of hours. Once you've clicked confirm on your order you should really expect them to take the money and sent out the item(s) you've ordered.

1) They can't have read the email so i doubt they even know anything about it
2) I should expect that yes, but it took them 2 days just to process the order and it hasn't even been dispatched yet

The frustrating thing is that if they had a phone number i could just give them a call and tell them not to send it. Instead i'm betting that in a day or two my order will be marked "dispatched" and there'll be no replies to my emails and not a lot i can do about it.

If i buy a CD in the shop in town i can take it back and get my money back, i don't see what the difference is here. I gave them plenty of time to respond. It's just sloppy business practice.

Never mind, i just won't shop there again :)

To be fair, 7dayshop are the cheapest for a lot of things... but they have to save the money from some process.

They always take ages to send orders/reply to emails etc, but that's why they are so cheap.

I had a problem once when i didn't receive an order, took a while but i got it sent again.

hi,

don't forget distance selling regs which give you 7days from delivery to cancel.

You could refuse delivery if you wish, then it will go back and you should get your refund

Thats the reason I will never use these bunch of idiots again. IF they reply to an email they normally have not read it and they ask stupid questions, which you probably answered in your original email. They are no better than Simply Electronics in my opinion.

Given that 7dayshop are based in the Channel Islands (Guernsey IIRC), the DSRs are very unlikely to apply.

Whether or not there is equivalent local legislation that does apply, I can't say.

You committed to buy an item by clicking the 'confirm order' button. They're T&C's clearly state that once you've clicked that you want to buy they will not cancel orders unless they are out of stock. The only option for you, and not just 7DayShop, is to return the items when they arrive, at your own cost, as you incorrectly placed an order.

To be honest it is not their problem. They run a very small team and keep prices very low comparably to the competition by doing this. They often take 3-4 days to reply to queries and don't often read comms, sure, but whenever I have had a problem and they are at fault they have been very helpful to sort it out.

I have never had a problem with them. I accept that as they are the cheapest I will not necessarly get first class service, people that shop on price only are one of my big bug bears, they want to pay the cheapest price but get the service as if they are paying full price, for me it is a educated decision, pay less get slighty less service or pay more and get the service. The flip side of this are people that always buy the most expensive because it must the be the best.

Ops double post

Complete opposite here, I had a damaged filter the other day, e-mailed them & they got back to me within 20mins, sent replacement same day & recieved it the next morning.

Never had a problem with 7dayshop and I use them all the time, although I've never tried to cancel an order. Why the big fuss, just send it back under DSR!
