Not being sexist but can any girl help.

OK just managed to get oly e-500 body, sigma 70-300 lens, shower proof jacket(old running waterproof top, not like anything you are wearing in your avatar, assuming that is you), fleece, wallet and 1l water bottle into the bag with room for sarnies, but this did mean pulling out the interior dividers of the bag.

I had the water bottle in the bag next to the camera and the lens, which I would not be happy with on a regular basis. Although you can get external holders for water bottles, check this link for more infor. lowepro bottle holder

Yes it will do what you need in the way of storage and should be comfortable for the length of your walk, you just need to see if it'll fit with your female bits now ;)

Pesonally, if I had a problem with my shoulder, I would be looking for a rucksack to distribute the weight. Alternatively, use a rucksack for your extra cloths, water, etc and get a top loader see this link which can go over your shoulder or attach to your belt. This would give you speed of access that a camera rucksack would not, the padding and projection you'd find in a camera bag and would keep the weight to a minimum and with the link above only an outlay of £20, so relatively cheap option, and no need to worry about how good the fit will be.

Thanks for all your help, taxi, and yes it is me in the avatar. I'm wearing my mountain equipment jacket, which goes up mountains with me but not on tog walks.

I've got a toploader at the moment but do find that it gets in my way when I'm walking. I guess I'm just going to have to make a trip to Carmarthen and annoy the guy there by trying all the bags out with my gear in them. (Only joking - they are really helpful there, and very patient.):thankyou:

A bit late, but....
I tried a slingshot when at Focus on imaging, last year and my comment to Inaglo was "my boobs get in the way" which caused a bit of laughter from those around me. I don't normally walk anywhere....but last year trekked a fair distance in ridiculous heat to photograph the Slap Kozjak waterfall in Slovenia and had my Lowepro AW mini trekker backpack on, containing 400D body, 24-70mm, 17-35mm, and 70-200mm lenses & filters plus tripod and it was surprisingly comfortable.

...I nearly died, but the bag was fine! ;)

Thanks photostar, I think my boobs might also be a problem, so it's back to the drawing board for me. Maybe by next year I might have made my mind up.:bonk:

:thankyou:Thanks for the offer gazedd, but after deliberation I have decided that the slingshot is not for me. It looks like I'm back to my camera stuffed in my deuter rucksack, and I'm going to buy an Optech Pro strap for my camera to make it more comfy when on my neck.

Thanks fine hun,
If you do change your mind, we will only be to happy to help out :)
