Nostromo's 52 4 26 wk-12 Daily life

Really like the texture you have caught in both images, both fitting for the themes

Wk3-Windows and doors

I had planned to go out at the weekend to find something interesting, but the weather and life got in the way.
So you'll just have to put up with mu garden shed.
My original idea was to go black and white, but i actually prefer the colour version.

Great! As Pete said, really good composition and processing.

As someone who loves B&W, I am always surprised when I write that I prefer the colour version - the muted palette is really effective. In my opinion it makes the slightly more saturated tool handles really stand out, which makes the image more balanced.

You've picked the right one in my opinion, and you've made what could be seen as a boring picture very interesting, the garden tools in the window makes the picture pop.

I really like the colour version of windows and doors - a really strong image.

Good decision to stick with colour, it really lifts the picture with the subtle yellows. B&W seemed flat to me

Agree with the rest on the colour version. Great composition, the tools in the window provide so much narrative to the image.

Colour version for me.

Lovely processing.
The weather has been pants hasn't it :(
I agree the colour version has more impact, possibly because there is very little colour to the image.
Love both of those and the editing is right up my street
A strong composition and nicely processed. The colur one works really well.

Thanks all for taking the time to look and giving feedback.

Beautiful shot Dominic, you have a great eye. I would definitely have chosen the colour one.

Agree with your choice of the colour version, garden tools in the window adds a lot to the picture

That's a cracker that is! :naughty: :exit:

Really good still life - I like the soft lighting - almost has a pastel feel.

Beautiful shot Dominic, love the composition and the processing.

WK-5 Rainy day

Well unsurprisingly it didn't rain at the weekend when i had some free time. This wasn't my first idea, i wanted a shot with people and rainfall, but i had to find a subject i could do at home. So i've ended up with this.
