Norwich 12

Liked the sound of this, I was at the Castle and Cathedral last Saturday - though the light was awful.

I spotted this in the terms and conditions:

15. By entering the competition you are granting HEART and Norwich 12 partners a
free and continuous licence to use your photograph(s) for marketing purposes in
any format. Copyright will remain with the author and credit will be given where
used

Is it normal to give free, continuous use of an image

Definitely going to give this a go, looks like it could be challenging. Thanks for posting this up.

Hmmm, I haven't checked the T&C for other competitions, but that phrase makes it sound a lot like collecting free images. Maybe it's to advertise the competition in future years, but it could be a cheap way of building up their image collection.

I entered the Norwich 12 Competition and received a letter this morning saying that my photo I entered for the Surrey House category had won!!! My photo gets enlarged and framed and put in the photography exhibition next March, the photo gets made into postcards and sold and a few other things!!!! This is the photo. Its of the inside of a Norwich Union office building called Surrey House and the whole room is made of marble.

All the winning photos are going to be on display at The Forum week beginning Monday 23rd March to Friday 27th March.

Congratulations on the photograph on the marble room. I was in the offices about a year ago and I was wrongly directed to this room and could not beleive what I saw. Such a magnificent place hidden away. The sting - i did not have my camera!

Pewtu, you can go in at anytime!! Go back and take your camera this time!!!
