Not an expert but would love to do a trip like that! To ME, it would be well worth the cost but it's your money so your decision.

Depends what you want to do really. If you are happy to be part of a package tour it is reasonably priced.

I booked my own trip using Icelandair from Gatwick for £187 return and Hotel Hilda in Reykjavik for 4 nights £224 (single room with breakfast) but you would get a double/twin room cheaper somewhere else. Tours can be easily booked when you get there.

Remember that Feb is very short days too. I am going at the end of March.

Thanks Heather, so it sounds like the above deal is quite competitively priced. The thing that kind of puts me off it is it doesn't mention who the guide will be for the nothern light tour or if there are airport transfers.

Hmmm decisions decisions

Just had a look at the fine print and transfers are NOT included and neither is a hold bag! Sounds like it might be Easyjet?

My Icelandair flight includes 23kg checked bag, normal hand luggage plus one small personal item.

Also it says the northern lights tour is from the 1st-15th April 2014?

Good spot thanks, doesn't look as ideal as I had first hoped :(
