Totally gutted, Im meant to be hosting. My little ones first Christmas that he knows what's going on and I what to make it special but both kids have been hit with the sickness bug and my belly is making some funny noises.

Happy crappy Christmas!

I sympathise with you! Last year I got cellulitis and it knocked me for six.
Awful Xmas spent recovering. Good nurse tho, thanks Wifey!
Hope things improve for you soon!

Bad luck, Robert. If it is norovirus the only good thing to be said for it is its efffect is short lived, though I know it is no fun having little ones being ill, especially if you aren't 100% yourself.

All the best

Dave

Last year, 2 weeks off with wife, 5 year old and 2 year old, all got the flu, worst Xmas ever. This Xmas, me and the youngest have Man Flu! Still it will be better than last year!

Good luck!

You could frame-shift things by a couple of days to allow recovery.

If it's norovirus, then I beg to differ.
The symptoms are far from short lived!

I hope it's a lesser "tummy bug", and you all feel better shortly, OP.

Seems one of us has been unlucky and the other lucky - or both :)

With me, assuming it was Norovirus(the symptoms were spot on) it lasted a bit under a couple of days.

Well It's another day and I'm still not ill so fingers crossed because I'm cooking for 10. Kids are still ill which is rubbish but hopefully they can still get excited and have a bit of energy to open their presents.

I've only had it once (and once was definitely enough!), but it was three days of sheer purgatory. Everybody out, 2 exits, no waiting, almost constantly.
I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Hope you're spared, and the little 'uns feel a bit better by tomorrow. :-)
