Hi All,

I am heading out to the Norfolk coast on Sunday for a photography trip with a few friends.

Although I have been to this coastline on many occasions, I have never been specifically to take photos. Could anyone recommend some areas which would be good for landscape photography? Also any areas where there are small boats/ huts/ fishermen etc where we can get photos of small details etc (hope that makes sense).

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! :)

Cheers,
Steve

For small boats & huts then maybe Wells is a good option. Others, in the near vicinity, would be Blakney and Morston. These 3 places are only a few miles apart. For landscapes, i'm affraid i can't help much but there is the Holkham park estate very close by

Holkham beach is fantastic as is Wells. If you go further around the coast to Hunstanton you can get sunset as you can face west into the wash. You can go right along that coast and there are little fishing villages all along so plenty of opportunities for little boats on the marshes etc. There are some good shots to be had of Cromer pier as well. It's a fabulous area for photography

I was going to suggest Wells too, but from the sounds of things it will be over run with photographers!

I suggest getting up very early so you can arrive before sunrise which is about 4:30am. The forecast for Sunday is good and the north Norfolk coast has huge skies.

If you want the sunrise you really need to be there about 3:45.

There have been some very good places mentioned. I would add only Brancaster Saithe and going to the end of the road to the dunes from Brancaster (check the tides first as the road is sometimes impassable if there is a spring tide)
