Noooooooooooooo! Stop messing with the forums......

I didnt mind too much as some of it needed rationalising but ye've just changed the feedback and critique section to a whole different looking format to the rest of the forum

I think I'll come back tomorrow when they've stopped mucking about with it...:runaway:

any chance of supplying smaller fingers ? with the new layout it's a lottery as to what I hit on my tablet now :(

I think it works well, the layout seems a lot more sensible that the previous set up.

But of course anybody with the slightest colour blindness won't be bothered as they won't be able to read anything anyway

Marcel's got terrible wind..... Listen

up until the changes where the photo critique and feedback were mashed together I'd have probably agreed

I think it's quite logical, so far, apart from placing the OOF at the top.

That just means it's considered more important than photos.

colours haven't changed, all the themes are still there so you can choose the one that best suits your vision and preferences, just as you always could

Its more about logic than importance. OOF is really a 'community' area, so it made sense to put it there...and community is at the top for now really for the benefit of new members, easy for them to find it, get questions answered, etc. ;)

twas better before the changes to the photo critique section as the specialities are mashed with the critique and they were in my mind distinct. plus when i visited a section i would double click the talk bubble to mark only that section read so i could logically go through the sections of the forum i regularly visit, now I cant.
Both because its not actually working in that whole section (photo critique / feedback) and because when / if it does work it'll mean i've marked parts as read that Id be coming back to later :-(

How do you know what thread has been replied to ? , some categories have 6 subsections but now we can only see the latest reply

It's going to take a day or 2 to get used to the changes but so far, I like them.

I like it - also haven't feedback and critique always been "mashed/meshed together " - The only thing id have suggested is to put the Feedback , crit, and discussion section at the top of the page so its the first thing newbies see rather than "talk b*****ks" aka OOF. But that's just a suggestion I'm happy for marcel to stick anything he wants wherever he wants.

You know there's a specific "forum discussion" section, but that's right at the bottom you may not have got that far :D

If you think thats bad, the staff room has been rename the Hamster Dungeon... no prizes for guessing where we look for it

Exactly... give it a little time to get used it ;)

I couldn't see a subsection for whinging critique ;)

anyone who's colour blind could switch to one of the themes with higher contrast

That has to be a classic :D
I've printed it off, and its hanging on the staff room wall

Ahhh crapski * must read what ive written before hitting post* - still I guess its lucky that in these new enlightened days they aren't doing forum titles anymore.

I can think of a few better names for it ;):p

I think that quote could even make Signature material!

One fingerectomy on order.

Until then, just click on the main sub-forum and then select the sub forum beneath it from a larger sized menu ;)
eg: Click "Nature" and then select "Talk Nature" for example from the menu underneath.
It's one more click but it takes the lottery factor out of it!

As above - click the main sub-forum and you can still tick off the individual talk bubbles on each of the sub sections underneath and see what the latest replies are for each one :)

I really don't see the need for change, ok, i will probably get used to it but I think it was better before.

I can't find anything, much prefer the previous layout!

It's all cocked up.

I have a strong sense of deja vu - back to when TP changed forum software. All the people who thought they'd never live without Vbulletin seem to have adapted to xenforo without too much problem - this will just be more of the same.

Don't bet on it!

Hell, I've got fat fingers (when my wife had a ring made for me a few years ago, the jeweller told her the napkin ring was ready for collection - Z+6...) and I can manage on my 'phone's virtual keyboard!

If the slight re-jigging of an Internet forum is the biggest problem in someone's life, I'd reckon their life must be pretty good. Might be best if we kept our moans for something which actually matters.

You'd think they would have sorted out an unanswered posts link as a priority first...

(someones going to tell me they have now arent they)
