Hi all, i have just signed up to this site as i was pointed here by a member of another forum (also a member on here) i have just bought a DSLR yesterday and I'm very new to photography so I'm sure ill have lots of questions as it has all kinds of numbers, lines and letters on the screen that i have no idea what they do.

Hi Chris and welcome to the forums, don't be daunted by all those numbers, place the camera on Auto and get used to the feel of it read the manual and work your way slowly through all the different modes.You will soon pick it up.(y)
 
Thanks Sbowler, I have been reading the manual and playing with the auto+ setting and also the HDR in the special scene setting to take some landscapes, I'm gradually learning what some of the bits mean but then forgetting a couple of hours later. I'm sure it'll all come together eventually :)

Welcome to the madhouse m8 as others said just get a feel for your camera and ask as many questions on here.

Thanks for the very warm welcome guys, I'm at work all this week now so maybe ill get to go somewhere at the weekend and get some nice shots, ill upload a couple i took yesterday once i get a feel for the forum layout so I'm not posting in the wrong sections :ty:
