hi,new to the site and to photography in general.
i am looking to buy a dslr camera at the moment to take better pictures for my collect so any help would be great.
for my budget i think i am looking at second hand but as new as i can get,budget around £300-£400

pictures i take are airshows,car shows, trackdays plus i would like to do portraits,action shots of my children

just to add i have been looking at the nixon d60 would this do what i want?thanks darren
 
thanks for the reply.well i have brought new,a nixon d3000 as a starter.
mainly because of the warrenty and there is not a lot of difference between the second hand value to new.
dont know if i am moving to fast but i am looking at different lens at the minute,something like a sigma apo 75-300
