Does anyone have one and how good are they, please say they are good as I have just done my upgrade to one

Seriously all mobiles have there good sides and bad but does anyone know any with the mini

My girlfriend had her heart set on an N97 or Mini when they came out. She was due an upgrade last month and went to Orange and asked for one - it turns out they won't sell them as there are too many software glitches with their system. She ended up with an iPhone which was cheaper than the N97 (Orange would've wanted £390 to upgrade) and seems pretty happy with then.

Not sure how the N97 mini compares to the normal N97 but my Uncle has had nothing but problems with his - constantly crashes, loses information and very slow.

Sorry to put a downer on it - I am sure the N97 Mini is going to be a fantastic phone...do enjoy!

Thanks David honest reviews are better than being told its spot on and then being let down by the thing, my upgrade was free by the way

My best mate got one, had it for a day and sent it back - he was moving from an Ipod 3G to it, and just found it horrible. He settled on an HTC Hero in the end. Great minds think alike eh????? ;) :D

Thats funny, I was thinking of the HTC HD2 for a while but a bloke at work has one and he says that hangs quite a bit but a nice phone otherwise.

Looks like I will have to wait and see

Thanks Candlestick

I think I'm right in thinking that the HD2 runs on Windows, not Android like the Hero, so that could explain a lot!!! :D

Yes its windows 6 ..... lovely phone and I understand thats the only issue with it and after owning 4 win mobile devices myself the hanging problem hasnt been fixed, my HP6340 had to be cold booted at least once a week, thats the main reason I moved to Symbian as its more stable

Got the the N97, had to send the first one back due to software, but the replacement had the an updated firmware, sof far been fine, maybe a tad slower then an iphone but works well for my needs, and was free where as the iphone wasnt.

the iPhone wasnt available and I wouldnt have even thought about one as our son is on his third in 4 months due to numerous software problems with them, his latest one had to be exchanged as it wouldnt register the sim, this happened twice with a new replacement sent out.
He now has it working but it just doesnt work right and we cant get in touch by phone and he cant and he is only in Scotland ATM so he needs a good phone for when he gets posted overseas so it looks like this one will go back and he will go back to his Sony Erricsons

I carry 2 phones, one for work, one personal as we cant use the company phones, so i use my old SE K850i small and been 100% relieable since day one, but i also carry my n95 in the van just incase, that covers 3 networks normally get signal on atleast one of them.

I have just sold a Nokia e63 here which is a brilliant business phone and blows the blackberry away but I couldnt seem to use it as a business phone thats why I have upgraded to the 97

My best mate got a 63 after using mine and absolutely loves it to the point he runs his Wedding business from it, the only thing he missed was GPRS but for 20 quid he got the adapter and now has satnav on it which makes it a great phone:thumbs:

I was looking to get an N97 but have read about quite a few issues, in the end I went for the E71 - it might not look so good but it has worked flawlessly (so far) - the GPS, Wi-fi and mobile internet work faster and more efficiently than on any other phone I've had (not tried an Iphone yet..)

Edit - just read your post as you've had a E63 I guess the E71 isn't the phone for you... teach me to mess about putting stuff on my ipod mid post!

HAHA teach you lol.....will let you know how it is compared to the 71 as I had the 63 and to be brutally honest ......they are probably the best business phones ever and even though Blackberry keep bringing models out they will take some beating if this is the type of phone you are wanting

Blackburry do seem the best phone for emailing etc perfect for business use.

Personally not interested in that element tbh but the N97 does email pretty well any-way, you can get it on pushed through on most networks, but i think theres a smalll charge. But its not hard to manually check and send replies using the keyboard, you soon get used to it.

Biggest issue with the N97 is battery life if you run alot off apps (like running facebook on the front page) at the same time you soon get though the battery, but i generally broadcast mine via radio in the van to listern to music, and again up the gym via blue tooth headphones (well blue tooth adpator for my own headphones) and get 2 days charge from the battery.

You get 14 days trail though if you order online or over phone dont you worth trying.

Or try the new 900 if you can. personally liking the looks off X6.

I have the much cheaper Nokia 5800, its not bad Its not a beauty by any means being plasticy and thick, but has a good screen, good loud sound, great for watching movies on, cameras not too bad either. However, I have just sent it away for repair as the screen goes multicoloured every time it goes to sleep...still I'm fairly happy with it, you can get loads of free aps, it has all the usual wifi gps etc etc. I think the mini is VERY similar, just a little better/quicker. ;)

Well it came today and its so good I cant seem to put it down, good job my internet is free with it:lol:

No problems with the N97 here, had mine 4 months or so now

the more you get used to it the better it becomes
