Hi

I need a bit of help and advice

I have been offered an EE 4G deal with a Limia 820 to replace my now due to expire TMobile Blackberry powered TMobile contract

This is a "business" phone and I have a Galaxy on 3 for every thing else.

Can anyone using the 820 give me a few pros and cons on this model and its operating system please.

I use Microserf at home but also mac too. So will the Lumia witbWi.dows 8 be a help or hindrance?

Many thanks

Steve

Decided to dip the Lumia and EE - an account going back to one-2-one days (mobiles started 08 in those days)

Was told I was a valued customer, bundles of loyalty etc

Offered exactly the same deal as a new customer would be as its a 4G contract and a 4G Phone.... the 820 is a cheaper midrange phone and they demand a 24 month vontract.

Sod'em I am off.

I have the Lumia 920 and have had windows phones for a long time. I've also had a Samsung Galaxy S3 and an Ipad plus Ipod Touch so have weighed up the alternatives a few times.

I find the Windows phone OS really really good, but it just doesn't have that same flashy look as some Android or iOS devices. But that's all superficial. The WP software has so much functionality baked into the OS without the need for extra apps, with some really great integration between contacts, email, messaging which will combine your facebook and text conversations etc.

I had the Galaxy for 6 months last year. For as much as I liked the size, lightweight and awesome screen - the usability was so poor for some pretty basic smartphone operations compared to Windows. I couldn't wait to get back to WP once the Lumia 920 came out.
