Hi all

Have been on a recent shoot for a band, my first gig.

Most of the photos have come out great but... as usual they want a copy of the image which is worst for noise.

I was using a nikon D90 it 1600 ISO, 1/80s, 4.5f

Is there a way i can edit in photoshop elements..or make it better at least. I have a high res JPEG or a RAW.

In this case if nothing can be done i may try and sway their decision to a better image.

What could i do in the future to help with this. I usually just experiment to see what works best..but when doing a job for someone it doesn't really pay off.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Buy a copy of Noise Ninja. Works a treat, although Im not sure if the plugin works with elements??
Elements should have its own noise reduction system anyhow which may make it good enough.

Sorry to hijack but whats the best way to remove noise in PS? Ive tried the filter but couldnt see how to get the best results.

Thats cos the noise removal in PS isnt very good. The specialised plug ins are much better.

The noise reduction in camera raw isn't too bad, not as good as noiseware pro or noise ninja.

If cost is an issue I thing there's a free download/trial. If not then one of the other "noisewear" apps may have a trial.
