Just a simple question really. How much NR do you normally do?
I know there is a trade off between absolute sharpness and amount on NR applied. Even the best NR plugins don't leave the fine details exactly as they were.
An example would be if you had a flower say in a vase with shallow dof and a plain background. With the out of focus background I will usually see quite a bit of noise in this area. Would you normally add enough NR to get rid of ALL the noise and lose some detail, or would you go for something in between?
