It's a bit like the Rhine II, up until fairly recently is was the most expensive photograph costing over £2m but I can't see any merit in it what so ever![]()
I really like it. Wouldn't pay £2m for an original mind you, because I think the value of it can be appreciated from any good quality reproduction (even the digital rendition you posted does it for me). In fact I treasure my books on the Duesseldorf School.

I think art ebbs and flows in mysterious ways, and some photographs can be pleasurable/interesting to look at even when other people, and not us, have taken them.
