No Safe Way To Tan

Aye, you could hear the horse & carts more easily ont'cobbles. ;)
I quite like being a mod, so I won't give that the answer it deserves :D

When it comes down to it, life itself is a terminal condition as well as being a sexually transmitted one. It's also a four letter word...

Enjoy it while you have it and try not to screw it up for others while you're enjoying it!

So many quotes from 15 year old emails in this thread

Mimeographs rather than e-mails in the case of #83.

We're a species which evolved in Africa, over time divested of body hair, and as we migrated north (and south!) our skins got ever lighter to allow better access of the dreaded sunlight.

How likely does it seem that sun is the root cause of a problem today? I've no doubt that sun is a factor in the current problems, but it seems utterly illogical that as a species we should suffer from sun exposure the way we do today. Something else is the problem today, sun exposure is only the catalyst or enabling factor. Ozone thickness? Skin composition due to rising seed oil consumption? Lack of cholesterol for the sunlight to convert into Vitamin D in the skin (or sulfate, to bind with cholesterol)? Something is wrong, but I doubt sun exposure is it.

My personal view is that sadly, if you're going to get cancer, you're going to get cancer and anything could be the trigger.

There's a lot of sound evidence that it is so, and you're offering none to the contrary.

Care to elaborate?

Not that it's a popularity contest but the fact 7 people likes the post it would seem to indicate I'm not the only one that holds that view. So does the (quite frankly) rude response apply to just me or others that hold that view too, after all it is just a view so what gives you the right to be rude and judgmental about it with no real explanation as to why you disagree?
